I'm not aware of such a survey, but would love to see someone conduct one!
Results could probably be published in ACUMG News & Issues, and you could
presumably get a mailing list from ACUMG.  Every compensation survey I see
uses a different format, often trying to factor in the total
museum/gallery budget size (which tends to be inconsistently reported in
academic settings), the university/college enrollment size, and the
