The rumor is probably true about Mexican restaurants in Minneapolis,
however, please don't ignore St. Paul. If you are interested in good food
and a good festival, travel to the West Side of St. Paul this weekend.
There is a large number of small Mexican restaurants and markets. The West
Side is located south of downtown St. Paul across the Mississippi River
(start at Robert Street and Concord). Then you can check out the
"Communities" exhibit at the Minnesota Historical Society and "Tradiciones
Vivas: Mexican Popular Arts" at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Both
exhibits were put together with help from the West Side community.
