THE ELECTRONIC CAFE
What?
The Electronic Cafe at the 1996 Canadian Museums
Association Conference is a forum for demonstrating, sharing,
exploring, viewing, collaborating, communicating and
networking ideas and projects relating museums to electronic
communications.
The format will be spontaneous. Dropping in to the cafe will be
encouraged; something interesting will always be going on.
Four half-hour sessions per day will be organized, and will allow
individuals and institutions a forum to explain their pet project
and current pride and joy. Please express interest in participating!
Vendors or commercial products will not be allowed in this
schedule except under very special circumstances; the trade
show is intended as their forum. Individuals can demonstrate
their experience with particular software.
Where?
The venue will be an intimate chamber at the Robson Square
Media Centre, provided with at least 6 MacIntosh Computers
(genereously supplied by Apple Canada), networked to each
other and the internet. One of the computers will be connected
to a projector for demonstrations.
When?
The Cafe will be open during the the conference (08:30-17:00,
June 16-18), and at other times by special arrangement.
