I am in the (unenviable) position of determining what software we should use
to operate our small gift/consignment shop that will open full-bore in
September. We can't afford something high-powered that needs more than a
simple PC+Windows to run, and we need something fairly intuitive for the
non-accountants who will be making the sales. We will most likely need a
P.O.S. package, as we will be using a cash drawer plus computer instead of a
cash register if the price is right.

We are investigating GoldMinePlus (the retail version)--anybody use this and
can give me tips?

Any other suggestions? Does the Museum Store Association have an
"official" list of software vendors? (we are not members and do not have
access to their services) Please include contact names and numbers for any
vendors you suggest. Off-list messages will be summarized for the list if
anybody's interested.

TIA for your assistance,

Julia Moore
