My son has just started reading the Boxcar Mystery series (out loud
to me, for practice). There is a recurring theme - at least in the first
two - of the (four poor orphans found by a rich grandfather) kids
establishing a Museum in their temporary digs, making natural history
artifacts for their museum, visiting the museum founded by gramps, etc.
I won't vouch for the "great literature" quotent, but I sure like these
better than the goosebump books that were producing nightmares in the
afore mentioned son.
