Patrick: I had already sent Stacey a message recommending the book:
GENDER PERSPECTIVES: ESSAYS ON WOMEN IN MUSEUMS, a result of the 1990
seminar "Gender Perspectives: The Impact of Women on Museums." Kendall
Taylor did extensive research for her presentation on the history of
women in museums which appears as an essay in the book. There is also
a pretty complete bibliography appended to the essays. The same year,
1990, I attended an international seminar in Copenhagen, "Women in Museums."
The results of that make up an issue in MUSEUMS INTERNATIONAL, the journal
of UNESCO. Good luck to Stacey! Sorry, Patrick, you can't get to AAM
this year...I won't be there either...first one I have missed in 33 years!
C'est la vie! I will let you know the details off Museum-L. Best...Jane
