About a year ago, I asked the list for advice regarding trackballs
and touchscreens as alternative input devices for computer exhibits.
The clear consensus was to spend the extra money upfront on
touchscreens. We did, and since we reopened The Lincoln Museum in its
new home on October 1, 1995, we've had very favorable visitor
response to the touchscreens. Thanks MUSEUM-L.
Now, we're working on our first WWW page, and our director wants to
know if we can expect any revenue generation through museum shop
sales via the Web. Has anyone had any successful (or other) retail
experience with a virtual store?
