This message is placed on behalf of Dr June Factor. Please send any
replies to the list and i will forward them:

"Dr June Factor, an Australian writer and children's folklorist is
preparing a consultancy report for the Museum of Victoria (Australia) on a
new children's museum to be located within the new Museum of Victoria.
She was involved in the development of the original Children's Museum at
the Museum in 1985.
She has developed an innovative perspective of a Children's Museum as
operating on a double helix: exploring the world that adults have
codified - cultures, nature science etc, and the cultures of children-
folklore, traditions, etc (the world from childrens perspective)
Dr Factor is interested in meeting 'Museum 'people while in the US and
Canada to discuss innovative ideas re Childrens Museums- she is happy to
share ideas form her recent report.

she will be based in New Haven Connecticut; Feb 1- March 16
Ottawa: March 13-16
also at various times in NY and Boston

hope someone can help June!
Tim
