Position Announcement

Journal of Museum Education, Volunteer Editor-in-Chief.

The Board of Directors of the Museum Education Roundtable seek senior museum
professional to be responsible for content and production of national
Journal of Museum Education.  In continuous publication since 1973, the
Journal appears three times annually with an international circulation of
1500.  Editor-in-chief works with paid professional editors, designer,
printer and distribution house, and national volunteer Editorial Advisory
Board.  Responsibilities include planning for Journal content, including
themes, authors, guest editors; review of unsolicited manuscripts; oversight
of standing material, including columns, book and exhibition reviews;
coordination of twice annual meetings of Editorial Advisory Board.
Applicants should have demonstrated leadership and knowledge of current
development in the field.  Position reports to Museum Education Roundtable
Board.  Begin transition no later than July 1996.  For further information,
