what is done on some of my other lists is to start the Subj: with the first
part of the list's name.

ie:  MU  or  MUS:  then give a _short_ idea of what the topic is.

this really works.  especially for us that get over 100 messages a day.  it
allows us to delete what isn't interesting or in the same field.

long Subj: lines don't show in the mailer,  so you have to open them to see
what is there.  nothing is more frustrating than opening mail you don't want.

Collection ?  = collection question
and so forth.  we can shorten these so everyone can read them with out having
them written in stone.
