The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, located in Banff, Alberta =

is seeking a full time Associate Director who will be responsible =

for coordinating various departments in the Museum and have direct =

responsibility for the Museum=B9s material culture collection. The =

Whyte Museum collects, preserves, exhibits and makes available for =

research art, artifacts and archival materials pertaining to the =

Canadian Rockies and presents public programs concerning the Rockies =

and other mountain cultures around the world.

The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and =

implementing exhibitions, public programming, marketing and =

fundraising.

Qualifications:

A combination of a strong academic background in history, art =

history or a related discipline and/or cultural management and at =

least 5 years experience in a program management capacity at a =

recognized museum. Proven leadership and planning capabilities and a =

demonstrated ability in program fundraising.
