Colleagues:

My museum is rethinking ways to keep the visitors at a reasonable distance
from paintings (or anything else hung on the walls).   Possibilities
include curtain alarms, kick plates, (stanchions are kinda crude and heavy
handed for us), and metal bars coming up from the floor.  What else is out
there?  Could you please let me know what you use?  If you don't have a
manufacturer/vendor name, could you please describe what you use?
