Hi,

At xs4all we want to create a museum of online art. A
place for artists from around the world to experiment
and exhibit their artwork. Artwork can be submitted in
different formats and different styles. It can be poetry,
graphic art, artistic experiments with virtual environments
using technology like VRML et cetera. Artists from around
the world will be able to send in project proposals for
this project. The project is specifically aimed at the
Global Information Society, and not just limited to the
boundaries of Holland or Europe.

We would like to investigate the possibilities of
including this project in the world-fair. We are
open to cooperation with organisations already
involved in cultural activities in the digital
environment.

The museum of online art is a project to stimulate
artwork in the digital environment. It is important
to create space and momentum for this activity, and
to support the artists with infrastructure and
technical knowledge.

This online temple of art will be installed within
a few months, and participants can file their
project-proposals from the 1st of january. Artists
will be able to use the available resources without
charge, after approval of their project-proposal by
the organising body.

instrumental in the initial creation of the Digital City
project in Amsterdam. Our philosophy about xs4all is to create
a profitable company, and use our profit in the alchemical
process of creativity. Our aim is to be independant of
government and other institutions, in order to guarantee
independance of content and ideas.
