JOB POSTING: COORDINATOR INTERPRETIVE RESOURCES
Reports to: Head, Programs & Interpretation
Term Position: 1 year, commencing January 1996
Due to a restructuring process Programs & Interpretation Department is
seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill the above position.
Responsibilities:
* coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of interpretive
resources for the visiting and general publics in Ontario and throughout
Canada. The scope of interpretive resources includes multimedia
programs,publications, products, and content for exhibition/site enhancements.
* keeps informed of and participates in relevant areas of the professional
fields of art history, art education and interpretation, and museum education
conducts gallery programs as required
* participates in departmental planning, budgeting and teams/committees
initiatives
Requirements:
* Masters' Degree in Art Education, Instructional Technology or related
discipline or equivalent experience
* excellent oral and written communications skills
* excellent knowledge of Canadian art history and art education
* excellent knowledge of art museum education, including experience in
developing, implementing and evaluating art museum interpretive resources
knowledge of educational research and theory, especially technical and
applied research
* advanced skill in educational writing and instructional technologies
Salary Range: $30,000 - $33,000 annual
