A second Pacific Aviation Museums Conference will be held at Nowra (New
South Wales) in May 1996. The Conference, which is being hosted by the
Australian Naval Aviation Museum, will run for three days beginning May
3rd. An eminent line up of national and international speakers has been
scheduled with the keynote address being delivered by Contessa Caproni,
Director of Italy's famous Caproni Aviation Museum.
Topics listed for discussion include heritage legislation, collection
documentation methodologies, and internet applications. The findings
and methodologies used during first government funded survey of Australia's
aerospace heritage survey will also be discussed.
Registration brochures will be available early in the new year from
either the Director, Australian Naval Aviation Museum (Box A15, Naval
P.O., Nowra, NSW, 2540), or the Executive Director of the Hawkes Bay
Cultural Trust (Box 248, Napier, New Zealand).
