Can anyone tell me whether the Singer Dealer Museum (of Oakland
California) still exists?  I was given their 1-800 number by Singer's U.S.
office in my search for information on 2 sewing machines I am trying to
value.  They suggested I contact James Slaten at this museum but the 1-800
number is no longer good and the Oakland directory assistance has no
listing for the museum.

Has it folded?  Has Slaten moved on?  Any info would be appreciated
(including alternate sources  of information).
