To Museum-L subscribers:

I will be experimenting off and on for the next week with Moderating the list.
We have several volunteers who will be helping with this project.

With the number of subscribers and the daily traffic, a moderated list will cut
out subscribe and unsubscribe messages that are posted to the list. Another
consideration is the increasing number of spams, and the increasing
sophistication of the those who post off-topic commercial advertising to a
professional list.

I hope to make the moderating process as transparent as possible, so the
original sender will always be on the mail header. This will help on personal
followups.
