Announcing a new service for MCN Members

The Museum Computer Network is pleased to announce the availability of a
discussion list for its members.  The list will serve as a means of
communication among the membership, and between members of MCN and the
Board of Directors. It will be used to post periodic news releases of
interest to MCN members.  Among these will be updates of legislation
effecting telecommunications, new initiatives in the use of information
technologies by museums, project updates, and more.


MCN members may subscribe to the list by sending a message like the
following to [log in to unmask]

                subscribe mcn-l [log in to unmask]
                (replace mcn's address with your own)

The a digest of the list is also available.

                subscribe mcn-digest [log in to unmask]
                (replace mcn's address with your own)


You may also send a message to the list manager, Kathy Jones-Garmil
([log in to unmask]), and the subscription will be processed for you.  If
you use this service, please indicate whether you want mcn-l, mcn-digest,
or both.

Please note, subscription to the list is open to MCN members only.
Because of this, subscription requests will be verified.
