Someone asked for a Dean MacCannell book. I am aware of two major books
related to Cultural Tourism. One is from the mid 70's called _The Tourist_
and is considered a seminal work for tourist studies. The other is called
_Empty Meeting Grounds: The Tourist Papers_ , published in 1992 by
Routledge Press. Both are highly recommended.
