You've probably already heard this but there was a session at the
   AAM conference in Philadelphia this past May titled "Hazards in
   your Collections".  I think this was sponsored through the
   Registrar's Committee of the AAM and I THINK you may want to
   contact Janice Klein (she's on this list--at the Field Museum ?).
   She may know how to get some useful info. to you.
