In response to David Haberstich who did not view Madame Tussaud's London wax
museum as a "real" museum? Quite the contrary, Madame Tussaud's does have
"real" collections and "original" artifacts, not just the modern figures,
but also figures originally
created by Madame Tussaud herself including the death masks of such
notable figures as Louis
XVI and Marie Antionette in the section on crime and punishment. Not to
mention, the museum has some
educational value in relating how wax figures are made and of the history
of Madame Tussaud around the time of the Frence Revolution. Maybe one
should not be so quick to judge what is a museum.
