The Canadian War Museum has two VERY odd items.

The first is the only suviving piloted V1 rocket. Yes, Virginia, there WAS a
piloted version! Actually, two were built. The first blew up on takeoff, I am
told and the second was piloted by Hanna Retsch (sp?) and landed on a Dutch
beach, there being no undercart. It was borrowed by the Canadian Army whilst
liberating Nederland.

The second is a bit less romantic, but equally odd - a snowshoe designed to be
worn by a draft horse, or at least one drafted into the Cdn Army in WW II.
