I wonder how many University museums have been closed in the last 5 years and
what happened to the collections.  In Illinois the Illinois State University
Museum was closed "for budgetery reasons"  It was one of the oldest public
museums in Illinois - founded in 1857.  The collections included Native
American material relating to John Wesley Powell, who was a curator there.
 Would a defunct museum still have NAGPRA responsibilities?
