The Columbus (GA) Museum administers a 15-acre, 9-mound Mississippian Culture
archaeology site which is undergoing non-burial related study.  Through our
work with this site, coupled with over 40 years of significant work in SE
archaeology, the Museum has emerged as a leader in the NAGPRA program.  It
also assisted in defining our overall Mission Statement as an Art and History
