THE SMITHSONIAN'S NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM
                            OFFERS ONLINE MAILING LIST

The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum has created an
electronic mailing list on the Internet to provide timely information
about museum events directly to the public.  For the first time ever,
individuals throughout the world will have instant access to the
Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.

Subscribers to the mailing list will receive a monthly calendar of
events, advance information about new exhibits and interesting facts
about aviation and space artifacts on display at the museum.  There is
no charge from the museum for this service.  To minimize cost to people
whose Internet providers charge by the message, the museum will
initially limit the number of messages sent to 20 per month.

Anybody who can receive Internet electronic mail can subscribe to the
mailing list.  To subscribe, send a note to: [log in to unmask]

Leave the subject line blank.  The body of the note should contain only
the text:
       SUB NASMNEWS Firstname Lastname
where Firstname Lastname represents the person's name, e.g:
       SUB NASMNEWS John Smith

Subscribers will receive a confirmation letter with instructions for
using the mailing list.  This letter should be kept for future
reference.  By using simple instructions, subscribers can search for
specific topics and stop messages while on vacation.
The NASMNEWS mailing list is used only by the museum to send
information to the subscribers.
