There is a nice small-budget museum created by the Tunica-Biloxi
Indians in Marksville, Louisiana (sort of on the way to New
Orleans!) that contains the famous Tunica Treasure recovered from a
pothunter who had looted it from Tunica burials. Contact is Bill
Day, Cultural and Preservation Office, Tunica-Biloxi Indians of
Louisiana, P.O. Box 331, Marksville, LA 71351; telephone
318-253-9767.
