                 DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
              CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

Reporting to the Research Director, this new position will
lead the Academy's informal and formal science education
programs, develop grant and other support resources,
interact with public school systems of the greater San
Francisco Bay Area and supervise departmental staff.  The
Chair must be able to work with and serve a highly diverse
education community as well as the diverse constituencies
and programs of the Academy.  MS (Ph.D. preferred), teaching
and/or administrative experience as well as experience in
curriculum development and staff supervision.
