We are going to start to test the waters later this month, when we include the
following two questions in our periodic visitor surveys:

1. Did you use a computer to "visit" this museum's World Wide Web site before
coming here today?

YES
 NO


2. If you DID "visit" us via the World Wide Web, to what extent did that
experience influence your decision to come here today?

NO INFLUENCE AT ALL
LITTLE INFLUENCE
SOME INFLUENCE
IT MADE ME DECIDE TO COME HERE

Now, these are pretty basic questions and they will yield limited data, but
they will give us a starting point to help us decide whether further research
might be worthwhile. We will have to ask these questions repeatedly, given the
comparatively recent establishment of our WWW site, which will nbo doubt be a
factor in its relative influence (if any) on physical visits.

When we have sufficient useful data, I will post the results to MUSEUM-L.
