We're currently developing a graphic design policy for the Museum of New
Zealand, and we're looking for interesting research, preferably from
Australasia, on the role of typography in Museum signage (that is,
exhibition labels). Do you have anything you could send us?

We're especially interested in seeing the results of visitor studies into the
legibility of different typefaces, particularly seriffed versus sans serif
faces (and in their use with languages other than English, especially
Polynesian languages).

Other studies on other aspects of typefaces for Museum signage would also be
welcome.

If anyone has anything interesting, please let me know, and send us a copy
by snail mail. We'd be REALLY grateful.
Or if it has been published, send me the reference, and we'll track it down.

(We already have, for instance, Lisa Falk's useful posting of 20 March 1995,
with its excellent bibliography.)

Many thanks, in advance, for your help.
