Hi Heather:

I have a degree in legal studies. Academic emphasis was placed on
environmental law, environmental economics, property rights and land use. I
went to school so I could think like a lawyer when I had to, without
becoming one.

I've managed a cattle ranch in an interpretive setting (a 2000 acre spread
bordered on three sides by residential and commercial development). I've
directed the development effort for a natural science museum, a nascent
arboretum and an environmental resources center. As an aside, I live on 40
acres of oak woodland.

My education has served me and others very well. Studying law is a good
thing to do, especially when such knowledge can help to de-lawyer America.
(Can you tell I'm a fan of Nolo Press?)
