The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) is offering
workshops on Collections Care and Management and also on Exhibits for
Historical Agencies.  The Collections Care workshops are only 3 days long
and offered at Cooperstown and St. Louis.  Contact AASLH at (615) 255-2971

Also, the Smithsonian Office of Museum Programs offers a series of
workshops geared toward basic training: Introduction to Managing Museum
Collections and  Introduction to Exhibition Design and Production.  Each is
