You don't mention what exactly you are going
to tell the general public about human skin,
but I am told there is a rather extensive
collection of tattooed Maori skin at the
Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford (acquired by
Capt. Cooke during his travels).  Some of
their collection *may* have travelled, but
you can contact them for information.

discovered in China's Tarim Basin, dating
