DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
 
THE HELLENIC MUSEUM and CULTURAL CENTER is seeking a highly
motivated professional who will be one of the central figures
establishing the Museum's presence and profile in the local and
national communities.  In coordination with the Museum's Board
of Directors, it is anticipated that this individual will
achieve the following:
 
-- Identify, cultivate and solicit individuals, corporations,
foundations, private and community sources,, which will provide
support for the Museum. . Knowledge of developing capital and
annual fund raising campaigns, membership development, deferred
giving programs essential.
 
-- Grants prospect research; coordinate preparation of grant
applications, administration and stewardship of grants including
gift acknowledgment, record keeping and reporting.
 
-- Strong oral and written communications and presentation skills;
working knowledge of written and spoken Greek; understanding of
non-profit board relations.
 
-- Be highly organized, a self-starter, creative and proven
leader; ability to work well with colleagues and external
organizations.
 
-- Demonstrated record of success in all of the above areas
including grants awarding record.
 
-- Understand the Museum's mission and goals and work closely
with the President and Executive Committee to realize the
Museum's long range and fund raising objectives and broad
institutional advancement; provide guidance and expansion of the
Museum's development objectives.
