I thought I would also answer this one on the list so others with the same
question can have an answer. When you subscribe to Museum-L your
distribution option is set to Mail. This means you get a copy of every
posting to the list (except your own). There are two other distribution
options:
 
Digest
Nomail
 
Digest will get you a daily compilation of Museum-L postings.
 
Nomail will turn off mail delivery. This is handy when you go on vacation
or get busy with finals, etc. To change your e-mail option send a one line
message to:
 
[log in to unmask]
 
With the message:
 
set Museum-L Digest
 
or
 
Set Museum-L Nomail
 
or
 
Set Museum-L Mail
