Dear Museophiles,
Feb. 8,1995
Would like information on the following:

1. Sources on archival qualities or not of rice paper

2. Best way to preserve rubbings done on rice paper with segments glued
with some kind of fermented rice paste. The ink appears to be oil-based
perhaps made from the ubiquitous coal dust found in the cities of China.
The rubbings are from temple stele in China.

3. Curatorially correct glue for re-sticking box labels falling off of
   acid-free storage boxes.

4. Sources on collections management of special analysis materials from
archaeological excavations such as archaeomagnetic , thin sections,
pollen, C14 samples and etc. Unknown author delivered paper on this
subject at a Plains Conference. Anyone know it?

Please respond to:oAlice Gillette, Registrar

canal.Questions on rice paper are my own interest.)
