I remeber seeing this exhibit when I was in High School, around 1971 or 72.
It was in one of the old Worlds Fair buildings that had been converted to a
small museum of the City of New York.  You sat in a small, moving car that
road in a track around the perimeter of the display, ostensibly simulating a
helicopter ride around the city.  I have no idea if this is still there but
it was really fabulous.
