A friend of mine received the following after sending a message to the
north pole. Have we really confirmed the validity of this project?

-----------------------------
Some Christmas Scrooge is attempting to shut-down the north pole santa
email address by spreading a false rumor that hungry children will get
a 10 cent donation from Sun Microsystems if you send email to Santa.
THIS IS NOT TRUE.
If it were true, any half-wit could wip up a shell script to send out
a google of repeated mailings to Santa every second, therefore ending
world hunger in minutes.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are falling for this latest sick net.joke
and a very nice service for kids to use to email Santa has been
effectively shut down by the flood of email pouring in.
Happy Christmas all... :-(
