To All;

A few general comments for you to chew on. If the shoe fits wear it, if not
disregard. I hope this is not taken as a flame, it is not meant to be. Take
this as a RAHTZ. You have been RAHTZERIZED.

First, I cannot believe some a flaming Anita for attempting to make those of
us who are not VIRUS EXPERTS aware of potential problems. For those of you who
are the paragons of computerdom and sit on the thrones of cyberspace please
forgive us plebians for failing to appreciate your lofty positions. We shall
endeavor to give the aristocracy it's due in the future. Please tell us
at which throne we should prostrate ourselves. I for one greatly appreciate
Anita's efforts and hope she continues. As the Captain sez, "Shields Up".

Second, There are numerous examples of a person asking a simple question only
to be blasted by some of our more intolerant members. If those intolerant
members are so narrow minded that they cannot keep their ranting to
themselves, please rant somewhere else, anywhere else. Or, is it you are so
infatuated with yourself that you want everyone else to share your opinion
and no one else could possible have anything interesting to say? In many ways
you remind me of the child in the class room saying "pick me, pick me". I for
one am tired of hearing, reading, of your particular narrow slant on life.
"Beware of small minds for they will have small thoughts".

Third, if you must rant, flame, or RAHTZ someone, at least have the courtesy
to specify your complete address. Do not hide in anonymous cyberspace.
That is the cowards way! Let us all know who you really are and where you are!
This is particularly important for those of us who may be evaluating whether
we wish to visit or study at your institution. This list has a very wide
circulation and not everyone is adept at determining location and name from a
return internet address. In case you have forgotten, each of us represents our
institution or place of work. The image you project says a lot about many
things; about you, where you work, and what you say and how well it will be
acepted. Beside I may want some of you to collaborate on research efforts so I
keep track of you and what your expertise is. Some I am sad to say have been
eliminated from further consideration.

Fourth, leave the students alone. Stop pontificating. Either answer their
questions or not but there is no need to humiliate them, in public on the
list, just to satisfy your own ego, or some other darker reason. Oh well,
there are those of us who obtain great satisfaction from hurting others.

I have RAHTZED enough. My apologies to those for whom this msg is irrelevant.
I have tried to not write at the top of my lungs, but I may have not
succedded. For those who wish to flame me my location is Wyoming, USA and I
am afiliated with Colorado State University and The Museum of the Rockies.
FLAME ON.
