Hello,

I am a FAAH student at USC currently researching the topic of
femininzation of the 18th century British Interior. Specifically the
phenomenom of the drawing room, Women's changing roles in the domestic
sphere and how it effected the decoration of the interior. I would like
to know if any one on this group would know where I could go to find
original documentation on decorative interior commisions by women. I am
reading Charles Saumarez Smith "Eighteenth Century Decoration: Design and
the Domestic Interior in England." and this book touches on the subject in
one chapter. Does anyone have any other Ideas re: alternate sources? I
would appreciate any ideas re; obtaining reference material.

Thank You
Morgan Libby
