This is my first attempt to reply, let me know if I am going about it in
the right way.
 
The Nov/Dec 1993 issue of Handcraft Illustrated has an article on
"Artificial Fruits and Berries," with a brief history of the technology
involved. For more information on the magazines you are looking for, I
would go straight to the companies involved in production of artificial
fruits. They might just have the magazines on file, or know someone who
does. The magazine Handcraft Illustrated lists suppliers in the back, and
the magazine's editors might also point you in the right direction.
