Perhaps everyone has misunderstood.  I happen to know Sam Pawley and
wanted to send a message to her personally.  However, there was no
return address other than to the whole list.  I was not in any way
suggesting that we should respond to postings solely in private.  I
just wanted to send a personal note to a friend rather than the ENTIRE
list.
