Attention art enthusiasts! Smithsonian Online on America Online is
launching a series of real-time chats this months. The National Museum
of American Art is sponsoring three series: The Virtual Museum,
Conservation Chats, and Artist to Artist Discussions. All programs will
take place on Monday evenings, at 9:00 P.M., ET. Supplementary readings
for each program may be downloaded in advance.
On Monday, October 3, Dr. Elizabeth Broun, Director of the National
Museum of American Art, will be on hand to discuss "The Future of Art in
a Digital Age."
On Monday, October 10, conservators Lisa Mibach and Catherine Maynor,
will be available to discuss basic conservation techniques and provide
tips for locating/selecting conservators.
