Thanks to John Terrel for putting this thing straight. I now see how the
resignation factor got into the story and his disavowment is very plain. I
probably would have continued to be confused by following the media
reporting as he states. Great to get it direct from the person himself.
This internet stuff can be marvelous and I think this is a good case in
point. Thanks to all for a very stimulating and informative thread.
