The artist who uses Tesla coils is David Archer. He was once a Seattle
resident. I don't know his current whereabouts.
His work is fairly widespread. The last time I remember seeing it was
on the cover of Omni magazine: it often looks like deeply colored nebulae
in space, with perfectly circular planets scattered about. He works on
glass, and lets the many feet of Tesla coil discharge play across a
horizontally-supported glass plate covered with wet paint. Somewhere I
have an article on him which has a photo of he and his coils in action.
