ASTC (pronounced "Aztec") is the Association of Science-Technology Centers,
an international professional organization of science museums and science
centers.
 
Rumor has it that ASTC intends to provide an Internet gateway to their
online service at some time in the not-too-distant future.  Which would
be very welcome-- I agree with Bayla that it is less-than-optimum to have
to subscribe to a commcercial provider to obtain access to such information
and interaction.  No aspersions on CompuServe intended-- it just seems to
be a shame to impose a single access point to a community that uses such
a wide range of service providers.
