Dear Judith Sobre, listserv readers, and conference attenders:

Here's a bit more clarification about VRA, CAA, and their concurrent
annual meetings.

VRA's registration badges will gain VRA conference attenders admission to
CAA's exhibits area. A VRA registration badge will _not_ allow VRA conference
attenders to sit in on CAA sessions. To do that, VRA folks must pay _either_
the CAA full conference registration fee (at whatever level is appropriate;
VRA members may not register for CAA at the CAA members' rate, unless they
are also CAA members), _or_ the single session admission ticket price for each
session they wish to attend.

CAA's registration badges will gain CAA conference attenders admission to
VRA's New Technologies Roundup. A CAA registration badge will _not_ aloow
CAA conference attenders to sit in on VRA sessions. To do that, CAA folks
must pay _either_ the VRA full conference registration fee (at whatever
level is approprate; CAA members may not register for VRA at the VRA members'
rate, unless they are also VRA members), _or_ the daily fee, _or_ the single
session admission ticket price for each day/session they wish to attend.

In both cases, advance registration is recommended. On-site registration
for VRA, which includes daily and single session ticket purchases, will be
handled at the VRA registration desk at the Menger Hotel. On-site
registration for CAA, which includes single session ticket purchases, will be
handled at the CAA registration desk at the CAA conference headquarters hotel.

VRA members, as I wrote previously and which you should all note in your
pre-registration brochures, may purchase one single session CAA ticket,
good for the CAA/VRA session on Saturday morning, in advance, by checking
the appropriate box on the VRA conference registration invoice. CAA is
extending us the courtesy of allowing us to purchase single session
tickets for this session _in advance._ The fee is non-refundable as a
consequence. You do not have to buy the single session ticket in advance.
You can stand in line at CAA registration (bring a good book) and purchase
single session tickets on site.
