I can't give a general reference on this subject, but there are certainly
plenty of exhibits, especially in history museums, that are trying to cope with
gender issues. We have several at CHS, inluding permanent exhibitions on
the American Revolution and Civil War, as well as a temporary one called
Becoming American Women (on the immigration of eastern european jewish
women to the US) and our big exhibit on the Columbian Exposition, Grand
Illusions(mentionedhere several days ago).
