   Chadwick is the listowner of this discussion list and he is the one who has
the authority to delete people. There are many reasons for deletion, the most
likely of which is that your mail is bouncing back to him instead of going to
the list. This may be due to the fact that a gateway is down between you and
the list or something is wrong with your email system.
  Each of us listowners have a different policy on when to delete a
subscription. I tend to wait at least a week before deleting, but there may
have been so many bits of bouncing mail that John decided that something major
was wrong. I would wait and see what he says.
