I'm entering this thread a bit late - sorry if I'm repeating previous
candidates: the Lunatic Asylum at Colonial Williamsburg and the Army Pathology
Museum at Walter Reed Hospital, DC. They don't fall under the criteria
mentioned in the original post - but they certainly do have a sinister feeling
to them. And isn't there something in Budapest? I seem to recall hearing
something about Hungarian Ghoulish...
But the most truly ghoulish, if we're unlucky enough to have it built, will be
Disney's America!
