Part of our expansion project includes plans for a 60 seat
theater/auditorium. I have been asked to determine what it would take
(equipment, costs, etc.) to add an interactive capability. To
accomplish this, each seat would be fitted with a 4 button keypad
which would allow the patrons to respond to questions in a program
(either computer or human guided) and to guide the outcome of the
program with their chioces. A couple of years back, I did the initial
research on a system like this for 25 seats. It revolved around
I/O boards from Keithley-Metrabyte and custom built keypads and a
very fast computer.

I am looking for:

A supplier of keypads designed specifically for this purpose.

Recommendations on hardware:
If you have an interactive theater, look into the support
room and tell me what you've got running it - a single
computer? A network of computers? How many stations (seats)
does it service? Does it operate laser disk players?
CD-ROM drives? Who set it up for you? You get the picture...

Any help is always appreciated.
